Programs and Services

We offer a variety of Programs and Services to our Residents in all of our health care facilities. Our high standards, safe work practices, healthy and stimulating environment ensures a high quality lifestyle for each and every resident.

24/7 Personal and Nursing Care

Compassionate, around-the-clock support is available to help residents with their daily routines, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene, while honouring dignity, independence, and personal preferences. In our nursing homes, this also includes RN-supervised clinical care and ongoing health assessments to ensure residents feel safe, supported, and well cared for every day.

Medical Coordination

We take a proactive and personalized approach to each resident’s health journey. Our team helps coordinate medical care by arranging referrals, managing chronic health conditions, and ensuring seamless communication between residents, their families, and healthcare providers. Whether it’s connecting with physicians, nurse practitioners, or specialists, we work to make accessing care as smooth and reassuring as possible.

Nutrition and Meal Services

Nutritious, home-style meals are served three times daily, complemented by snacks and refreshments to support energy and enjoyment throughout the day. We accommodate individual dietary needs, including therapeutic diets and texture modifications, with care and attention. In our long-term care settings, additional supports such as nutritional supplements and tube feeding are available to ensure each resident’s health and well-being are fully supported.

Recreational and Social Programming

Every day offers opportunities for joy, connection, and purpose. Our homes provide a variety of meaningful programs designed to enrich residents’ lives, nurturing the mind, body, and spirit. Activities may include music, games, gentle exercise, creative arts, pet companionship, cultural celebrations, and visits from community groups. These experiences foster friendships, support emotional well-being, and help residents stay connected to the world around them.

Personal Supplies and Equipment

To support comfort, safety, and dignity, residents are provided with essential personal care items such as basic toiletries and hygiene supplies. Mobility aids like walkers and shower chairs are available as needed to promote independence in daily routines. In Residential Care Facilities, the use of mechanical lifts and wheelchairs is limited, though accommodations may be made in special circumstances to meet individual needs with care and consideration.

Laundry and Housekeeping

A clean, comfortable living space is essential to feeling at home. Our dedicated team provides regular housekeeping services, ensuring resident rooms and common areas are tidy, fresh, and inviting. Personal laundry and linens are washed and returned with care, helping residents feel well cared for and at ease in their surroundings.

Resident Trust Accounts

For added convenience and peace of mind, families or substitute decision- makers can choose to set up a trust account on behalf of their loved one. These optional accounts allow residents to access funds for personal purchases or services, without needing to manage day-to-day finances. Each account is carefully maintained with transparent processes and annual audits to ensure trust, accountability, and ease for residents and their families.

Accommodation and Furnishings

Each resident’s room is designed to offer comfort, safety, and a sense of home. Depending on the site and available funding, accommodations may be private, semi-private, or shared. Every room includes standard furnishings such as a cozy bed, bedside table, closet, fresh linens, and necessary safety features, creating a space where residents can relax, feel secure, and make their room their own.

Therapy Services (OT/PT)

Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physiotherapy (PT) play a vital role in promoting residents’ mobility, independence, and overall well-being. In licensed nursing homes, OT and PT services are more robust and standardized, often delivered by in-house or contracted professionals as part of the facility’s care plan, with a focus on rehabilitation, fall prevention, and equipment assessment. In residential care facilities (RCFs), access to therapy services may be more limited and is typically arranged on a referral basis through external providers. While not all RCFs include regular on-site therapy, the care team can support residents in accessing assessments and mobility supports when required. Availability and frequency of services may vary based on site, care level, and individual needs.

Optional Services (Available at Cost)

To enhance comfort and convenience, a range of optional services is available for residents who wish to access them. These may include hairdressing and barbering, advanced foot care, personal transportation, and in-room cable or internet access. Offerings may vary by site, and all are provided at an additional cost, ensuring residents have the flexibility to personalize their experience based on their preferences and needs.

Please Note: Programs and services may vary between sites based on available resources, community partnerships, and the type of care provided. Differences may also exist between Nursing Homes and Residential Care Facilities (RCFs), as each operates under distinct regulatory and licensing frameworks. While we are committed to delivering consistent, high-quality care across all locations, individual site offerings are tailored to best support the unique needs of their resident populations.
