Administrator, High-Crest Place
Alan Caldwell is the Administrator at High-Crest Place, a 27-bed residential care facility. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the home. In this role, he manages site staffing, finances, and compliance with licensing, and regulatory standards. He collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure a safe, high-quality, and resident-centered living environment.
He is dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive environment for both residents and employees.
Alan’s career began in Therapeutic Recreation, serving 16 years as Recreation Director before advancing his education in Long-Term Care Administration and becoming Administrator at High-Crest Place. He has also completed a certification in Leadership (Dalhousie University).
He has served on the Provincial Board of the Nova Scotia Therapeutic Recreation Association, including a term as President, and has received the Leadership Award from NSRPH for his commitment to therapeutic recreation. Alan also volunteers with local organizations such as the Alzheimer Society and Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Outside of work, Alan enjoys travelling with family and friends and is a passionate supporter of his children’s extracurricular activities.
