Director of Care, High-Crest Sherbrooke

June is the Director of Care at High-Crest Sherbrooke, a 39-bed nursing home. She is responsible for leading the nursing and care team. She oversees the delivery of resident-centered care, supports staff development, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

June provides leadership and direction to nursing and care staff, maintaining relationships with residents, families, physicians/healthcare professionals, scheduling of nursing and care staff, hiring and interviewing of nursing and care staff, nursing materials/supplies management and chairing all committees associated with resident care. June collaborates with all departments and the administrator to foster the safe, smooth running of our facility.

June works diligently to promote and foster continuous learning and improvement through ongoing organization developed education that builds capacity in identifying and addressing risks and hazards and makes our environment , residents and staff safe.

June has completed an undergraduate degree in nursing (BScN) with advanced major in infection control, a masters degree in Adult education (MAdEd) where she focused on and published her work in the theory/practice gap in Nursing. June is a Canadian Certified Nurse Educator (CCNE). June also completed initial studies in post doctoral (PhD) work in educational studies. June is currently pursuing studies in the Long-Term Care Executive Leadership program with a completion date of summer 2026. She also holds a certificate in Leadership (Dalhousie University).

June chairs several key committees, including Medication Management, Multidisciplinary/Pharmacy, IPAC, Ethics, Nursing Staff, CCA Staff, Statistics, Wound Care/Resident Care, and Pharmacy. She also serves as a committee member with the Directors of Care group.

June enjoys baking and her Yorkshire Terrier trifecta.
