Administrator, Highland-Crest Home
Mary Beaver is the Administrator at Highland-Crest Home, a 35-bed residential care facility. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the home. In this role, she manages site staffing, finances, and compliance with licensing, and regulatory standards. She collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure a safe, high-quality, and resident-centered living environment.
In her role, Mary leads with a strong focus on safety, collaboration, and resident-centered care, supporting both staff and residents in a team-based environment that fosters independence and quality of life.
Mary began her career with High-Crest Enterprises in 1981 as a PCW. She later became Assistant to the Administrator before stepping into the Administrator role, which she has held for over 25 years.
Mary represents the Eastern Region on the Continuing Care Association of Nova Scotia (CCANS) and recently Co-Chaired its annual conference. She also volunteers as a Board Member with the Celtic Community Housing Board of Directors and chairs the Ethics, Quality Management, and Emergency Measures Committees at Highland Crest. She has also completed a certification in Leadership (Dalhousie University).
Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and cherishes time in Cape Breton with extended family.
