Director of Care, High-Crest Springhill
Tabathia Rushton is the Director of Care at High-Crest Springhill, a 76-bed nursing home. She is responsible for leading the nursing and care team. She oversees the delivery of resident-centered care, supports staff development, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Tabathia brings over 33 years of experience to her role. She champions resident-centered care through dignity, respect, equality, and evidence-based practices as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team.
A graduate of Yarmouth Regional Hospital School of Nursing (Class of 1992), Tabathia was honored with the Excellence in Geriatrics Award. She has also completed a certification in Leadership (Dalhousie University). She is actively involved in the Corporate Director of Care group and the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) network. Within High-Crest, she contributes to critical committees including IPAC, Emergency Measures, STATS, Quality, and Safety.
Passionate about creating a warm and supportive environment, Tabathia enjoys spending quality time with family and friends outside of work.
